Best meat in town. Bakery makes the best cakes. Love there whipped icing. Love the store. People are so nice. Regardless where you live it's worth the drive.
I've been shopping there for close to 30 years, great hometown feel with prices and service!! Did I mention their great breakfast, lunch and dinner!!
Leeker's is a big grocery store, with a great small town reputation.
For the past 36 years I have shopped for groceries, had prescriptions filled, ordered flowers and bought freshly prepared food in the deli at Leeker's Family Foods. Not only do they sell food, flowers and fill prescriptions, their store owner, John Leeker, and his staff are there every day to greet and serve their customers.
I live in Park City and have frequently shopped at Leekers. I would say that during the two years of shopping here I have left only a handful of times without coming home with an expired item. Why don’t I look at the expiration dates you ask? I do, but being a mother of two young children with one on the way many of you are well aware that a lot of shopping trips are more of a race to the checkout. Not only have I witnessed numerous expired products in various sections I cannot buy bagged lettuce here because they are almost always rotten or wet in the bag. This is not the straw that broke the camels back, however. Just this past week I went into Leekers to buy food for my children while I had the flu. I intended on making a discreet visit and grabbed four items before going to the deli to grabbed prepared food for my kids. Oh, did I mention I’m also pregnant. I asked the woman behind the counter for what I needed and asked if I could check out with her. Now I have checked out with non-deli items here on numerous occasions with no problem. She told me she could not scan the bananas I had since they were produce. I told her that was fine and m I would check out without them bc I was extremely ill and pregnant and needed to get out of the store asap. I told her I needed to use the restroom bc I was going to be sick. I came out and she refused to check me out with two of my non deli items: a toddler Sippy cup and oatmeal, but would scan the Gatorade and Vitamin Water I grabbed in the juice section. She then proceeded she would load up my items in a cart so I could check out in the front. I pleaded with her I had checked out at the deli on numerous occasions, but she just couldn’t budge for the pregnant, flu ridden woman begging her for a discreet exit. I loaded my items up into the cart and pushed it crying to the nearest front cashier. I am an extremely patient and forgiving person, but this was the most embarrassed I have been in a long while. I do want to thank the bag boy for asking the crying pregnant woman if she needed help. He was the ONLY person who acknowledged a mother/person in need of help.
Leeker's is where my entire family has shopped there since I was a little girl, I now shop there. The employees are wonderful and friendly. I have never been to any other major grocery store that compares to Leeker's. They are locally owned and operated. It's a great place to shop.
They are interested in giving you the best grocery experience in the neighborhood with fresh bakery goods, freshly cut meats, and meals to please you with low prices, free carry out, and many personal perks!
